Eleanor or Elinor
I have seen both names used for this song. Which is the right spelling?

On the Footsteps album the title is given as "Eleanor". Where did you see the other spelling?
On a related note, The Turtles, who coincidentally were the first artists to record a Bob Lind composition, did a song called "Elenore" (sic). (It's a completely different song.) It's the only time I have ever seen the name spelt that way.
