Possibility of a tour of the UK?/Demo downloads.

Post by Allan Thompson »

Dear Bob,
I meant to ask in my earlier message if there is any chance that you might do some concerts in the UK in the near future? Also, thanks for your generosity in permitting free downloads of your recent demos. They make interesting listening when played alongside the Luna Star Cafe concert and your earlier albums, and, as always, the words are thought-provoking and the arrangements are inspired.
Best wishes,
Allan.

Hey Allan, Good hearing from you. Thanks for the invitation. We were just on tour in England last June. And I can tell you it was one of the most rewarding experiences in my career. I've never had a better audience than the stellar bunch I had at the Luminaire in London.
And Exeter was beautiful too.

You can count on the fact that I'll be coming back within a year.

A few months ago I sent Bob a few artivcles from, what I consider the best UK music publication. "Uncut" was super nice to him ,as they should be,so the UK should be a great trip.
I have another friend "Steve Forrbet" that love it over ther. Thay are NOT as fad orientated and really listen to the words. That is where Bob is at the top of his game- ords.
You have a great voice but the words are the reason.

I came across some back issues of uncut a while ago, and was very impressed with the quality of the journalism, plus the fact that they seemed to have no musical sbooery; one issue might have a focus on Simon and Garfunkel, the next one on Johnny Cash, the next on Megadeth, they just about ran the whole gamut of popular music.
