how did it come about, and what where you doing or what where your thoughts when writing this song. being a drummer is it a quick 2/4 beat or 4/4, did you ever know or talk to John denver,or bobby goldsborough(honey) and did you write for other artists thanx jim :D

Never met Goldsboro. Not sure how to classify the "Butterfly" rhythm.

I class the 'Butterfly' rhythm as the perfect dreamy summer sound, no matter what the weather is doing outside when I look out of the window!

Even now, forty something years later, when I hear Elusive Butterfly, it's Springtime again as a child. That song helps me to replay a good part of my life. I never tire of hearing it.

The new music is beautiful and I have several favorites that I play over and over, but that one holds a special place for me.
