When Bob's 64

Post by jeffbenton »

In honor of the upcoming Lindependence Day celebration, July 4,
how about another brain-pickin' exercise?

It was announced in the news recently that Paul McCartney has turned 64 years young.

Seems to me that at least one other legendary song writer will be 64 later this year, right Bob!?

(While certainly NOT a legendary songwriter, I will be 60 in September... a mere West Florida Summer's Child!)

I wonder how many other song writers/performers might have a 64th b-day this year....

With a tip of the hat to the recent Bob Top Ten Song List, here is my humble attempt at starting another list:

The When I'm 64 List for 2006:

1. Sir Bob Lind
2. Sir Paul McCartney

Ladies and gentlemen, you may start your mental engines!

Being a California Girl ... I know that Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys turned 64 a day after Sir Paul.

Also Chris Hillman and Roger McGuinn of the Byrds, and Graham Nash.

You're in good company, Bob.

Country Joe McDonald and Bob Gaudio (Four Seasons) are two more.

There are lots of dead people born in 1942 but I guess we should leave them out.
