"English Afternoon" lyrics

Post by bob_32_116 »

I finally got around to entering into LyricWiki the last remaining song from the Footsteps album: English Afternoon. It's here:

http://lyrics.wikia.com/Bob_Lind:English_Afternoon

I couldn't find the words printed anywhere, nor on the net anywhere, so it's all done by ear. Maybe Bob L or anyone else might like to check that I have them correct, and amend them if not.

I am fairly confident of the words, except for the line in the last verse that goes "Fall to the warmth of the spell you have cast". "Fall" seems an odd word to go here, but that's what it sounds like to me, and I can't think of any other word that fits any better.

'Fall to the warmth' sounds just fine to me Bob numbers. Great job and enjoyed looking at your endeavors on the site with all the other lyrics.

Most of them were already there on the site. All I did was check them to see whether they looked right, and I think I made one or two minor amendments. The only ones I can claim full credit for are "I Fall To You" and "English Afternoon".

Hey Bob Numbers, You are the best.
The lyrics are pretty much perfect. The only tiny nit to pick is, "bright panoramas OF moments with you."
(as opposed to "AND moments with you.")
But it's so enterprising and considerate of you to post these words -- all of them.

Thanks for caring guys -- Danny, John Duncan, the lot of you.

And on a related subject, watch for my brand-new Studio CD due out in September. It's called FINDING YOU AGAIN and it was produced by Jamie Hoover of the Spongetones. He's the guy who's playing lead guitar on my Dovumentary/Concert DVD

Yes! Cannot wait! I had a feeling you were up to something sly...

Great news. Made my week. Really looking forward to it, Bob.

This news deserves its own thread rather than being buried in this one! Unless you were specially trying for a low-key announcement.

New album ....... Track listing?
Obviously ' Finding you again ' and according to a comment on Facebook, ' Thunder of Goodbye.' a new song will be on it.
But what of the other gems awaiting our eager ears?
Is there a chance we will be privy to rest of the albums listing?
Mmmmmmm!

"I CAN Walk Roads Of Anger"? is that one track?

Seriously,though, folks...

Hoping for "China", "Gravity Of The World", "From The Road", "It's Too Late To Let You Go", "In The Hurricane", "Roll Down The Window" and "Another Song About Goodbye".

Let's se how I go...

Over to you lot - what do others expect or want ? that is, those NOT in the know...
"Some may call it wander-lust, some may call it crazy.
I don't call it anything - I Just Let It Take Me."
