I like both versions of "Elusive Butterfly".

For air-play capture, the shorter version is obligatory - and served its purpose extremely well, making it to #1 in Australia, for example.

But, I can imagine that, in an intimate concert setting, the longer version would engage the audience on a personal level, attract their attention and lead them through the artist's account of the fuller details...

I reckon we are lucky to have both.

You are correct Mr H,,,and so was Jack ...to achieve the tremendous amount of all the airplay that it did ... meant it had to be cut.
