Re: Bob Lind in London
It's not the most appealing name for a venue is it? Sounds more like somewhere you'd go to hear punk rock or thrash metal. "Luna Star" or Perth's "Fly By Night" sound much more suitable for an artist like Bob Lind.DougieK wrote:Many thanks Grant - tickets duly purchased. But will my friends want to visit the Slaughtered Lamb? Sometimes I wonder....

Mint sauce aside, I'm actually picturing a group of people with white robes and beatific smiles. Possibly hiding a very long, very sharp knife.

An American Werewolf in London meets The Wicker Man (the real one, with Christopher Lee).

Is it really a wolf, or just a sheep in wolf's clothing?grant wrote:An American Werewolf in London meets The Wicker Man (the real one, with Christopher Lee).

Now the truth comes out.The lamb didn't lie down on Broadway. It dropped there because it was dead. Slaughtered.DougieK wrote:No fear from Bob - he conquered the Slaughtered Lamb last night with an excellent set. Great atmosphere in the dark, dark basement of the 'Lamb'. A super little venue.

Re: Bob Lind in London
Not far from London is Brighton where Bob played the night before at the Greys. Avery small venue,I should think Bobs kitchen is bigger, but nevertheless Bob played a great set including a brand new song. At the end he had plenty of time to talk to everyone and sign numerous Albums ,singles and CD,s. I was rather pleased he did Drifters Sunrise and Truly Julie's Blues,as well as the new stuff. Thank you Bob. There's a photo on Facebook. Can't figure out how to do it on here.
