The storm is pretty much a washout as far as I can tell. It's still overhead. I suspect there'll be some flooding, but nothing like a real hurricane.

Now, I realize this isn't in the spirit of the opening post, but I really want to hear Bob do "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley. You know, that new pop song? It'd make a great cover.

I'm totally out of brown envelopes, so could you just tell me -- is he, like, being socially relevant and hip to the world's problems, or more like a modern folk poet with a knapsack full of rhymes???

Because my imagination is running wild, here.....

Heheh -- it's all automatic. You can actually set it up on your profile if you do or don't want to get email notification of a private message. I can't actually read them or do anything with them unless I spend a lot of effort delving directly into the database, which is more effort than I'd care to...

Wow, that's weird and annoying. Let's see. When you log in, it appears to be accepting your password, correct? Like, you click that little blue link up at the top of the screen, log in, and it changes to "Log out [ jeffbenton ]", right? And... are there any security settings on your browse...

I suggest leaving a small saucer of milk in front of your keyboard overnight, and as you do so, reciting, "Net-wight, net-wight, ever fair, ever bright, drink your fill and dance tonight, smile on my RAM and gigabytes, my WAN and NAT and proxy sites."

From an email sent to rob68: There are many mysteries to the phpbb bulletin board system, and the way it handles user recognition is among the deepest. What I *think* was happening was that the system was logging you out, but your browser was saving memory by displaying a cached copy of the forum in...

Spam Alert: Yahoogroups

If you're a member of the Yahoogroup and you get a message that says something something "Graphic Groups" with like a bajillion attachments on it, just delete it. I've gotten one from a couple different Yahoogroups of which I'm a member.

Some new level of nefariousness, indeed!

How odd -- does the board log you in automatically? I've noticed on another message board I'm on that if I don't log in automatically (or rather, if it doesn't log me in) the "new posts" thing never comes up -- it thinks I've seen them already even though it doesn't know I was me, if that ...

Board upgrade -- notice anything?

Just upgraded the board to the latest software -- as always, let me know if anything strange happens.
