Re: Cool Summer

I just discovered and bought The New Folk Sound Of Terry Callier....which I LOVE and can't believe I never explored til now. Anyway, it has a great version of The Golden Apples Of The Sun on it, so naturally after playing it I had to give The Elusive Bob Lind a spin!

Oh, I LOVE this song! I get chills just reading the lyrics.

So moving.....the words AND melody.

One of my favorites ever by Bob.

Re: Travels With Lind...

Lind's interpretation of Woody's "Pastures of Plenty", complete with imposed 'Stars on 45' overlay production (no wonder Lind grinds his teeth about some of these tracks) kept me company when the town sign of Galaquil appeared Stars On 45......ha-ha. Must say though that I actually love t...

Re: Lind covers

I just discovered a couple days ago that The Poppy Family did a cover of Remember The Rain! I bought their only CD, a best-of called "A Good Thing Lost (1968-1973)", earlier this year and have been playing it quite a bit. Great stuff. Anyway, I got to wondering how many songs from their 2 ...

Re: Hawley on Lind

This is great, thanks Grant! Hawley totally understands Bob. I agree with him that some of Bob's new songs are some of his best. Welcome back to the states, Bob. Here's hoping that the new year brings more great things for you......including a new studio album. Hawley's new one is a stunner, by the ...

Re: The new stuff

I still really love a lot of the new demos from the past few years. Any word on possible studio versions of these songs being worked on, or seeing the light of (release) day on (official) CD?

Just wonderin' if there's any new news on that front...

Re: Every one should hear the "lost "songs of Bob Lind

There's a line in the recorded version of "B Movie" that seemed out of place: "I get last place in dog shows and live in a tree." When I first heard the song, I thought it was odd, but hey, it was an odd song. However, the sheet music has this line, INSTEAD, which apparently did...

Oh wow, I'm kinda surprised.....another England tour before any type of full-fledged U.S. tour. Robert, you are flat-out ignoring thy homeland! :D

Anyway, best of luck overseas.....again.

Billboard magazines & Bob

I just discovered a great Google site where you can scroll through every page of old Billboard magazines dating all the way back to the 1940s. I could spend weeks looking through these old issues! But I can't figure out how to save a page. I see that page 39 of this issue has a full page ad for the ...
