Re: The new Lind album
It was a left-hand drive anyway; far too dangerous on South Florida roads. (I am assuming.) (Actually, one of my life's greatest regrets was that I was unable to inherit my South African grandmother's decrepit Morris Minor - it was left-hand drive and would have been the only one of its kind at my u...

Re: Finding You Again - best tracks
Somewhere in This City wins for me. Quite like Maybe It's The Rain . (Because I'm a moody bastard.) As a song, I've always liked How the Nights Can Fly , but I think I actually prefer that one live than in-studio - preferably in some large, empty space with a hint of echo off the walls, a sense of ...

Sorry - battling spam. (Just saw this note NOW!) There's been a spam hurricane over the last week or so. In general, though, there are safeguards in place to keep spam at bay - including a new user having to wait to have his or her first post approved, before any subsequent posts show up. Makes it e...

Re: The new Lind album
If I remember right, we recorded the vocals for that one in an old church building, now a Science of Mind center. Fantastic acoustics.

Re: The Album That Dares Not Speak Its Name
It's an album that was Frankensteined out of demo tapes and studio musicians without Mr. Lind's participation, approval or even knowledge. Some people kind of like the sound of the final product, but Mr. Lind is not among them.

Hi, Kelly!
I promise, there's very little to be nervous about here.
If any of us try to bite, a quick whack on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper generally does the trick.
What's the irony in the way you found Lind's music?

Re: The state of music today
Anathema even ends with a string section! I think the kids are calling this "melodic doom" or "melodic metal" nowadays - I've heard some other similar things that are pretty darn good. It is peculiar how hard it is to find this stuff on the radio. That seems to be the new way of ...
