Hey Wendy and Karen, Thanks for the flood of memories. Ah yes, Lind the actor. I wanted to be Brando. (the buff and macho Brando). But once I found out acting is work, I decided it's better suited to those with the dedication and discipline for it. Wendy, I of course remember you too and word is you...

Hi Pat, Welcome to the board.

Wow! Talk about a veteran Lind fan . . . . Thanks for your tenacity. Glad you're into the new stuff too.

And Thanks for the blast from the past. I haven't thought of DANNY'S DINER in ages.

Stay close to the forum. Nice to have you with us.

Hey Jeff, Thanks for the heads up. But I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. This whole U-Tube phenomenon is hurting a lot of people. Not me so much, There's not enough up there on me. But a lot of people are having their work pirated on that site and although most people don't mean to steal...

Hey Karl, I totally forgot about that "HANSEL AND GRETEL" adaptation. I had nothing to do with the writing. It's the concept, words and music of Katrina Saroyan (great-granddaughter of author/playwright William). About 20 years ago she approached me with the project and asked me to sing th...

Hey Jeff, I'm not much good at explaining my lyrics. I just write them and allow people the freedom to digest them in their own way(s). At one point, shortly after the album's 1971 release, I offered this comment about the title cut of SINCE THERE WERE CIRCLES : "It's a love song from everyman ...

Hey Mai, Good question. Your guess is as good as mine. To the best of my recollection, I've never posted lyrics anywhere outside of this site. But after reading your post, I checked out several of the lyrics sites and what they say is, "We're sorry but the artist has decided not to disclose the...

Hi listeners, I'm late to this thread. I see it's been running for a while. Just want to quell some of the speculation here. This is the story: I gave RPM all the master tapes I had. Some of them were usable and some weren't. So they did indeed lift some of the tracks from the vinyl. I'm not sure wh...

Hi Mai, Welcome to the board. Pretty touching to read posts like yours. It's always surprising and, in this case, satisfying, to see where my music grows up and goes once it's been born.
Thanks for the inspiring words. Stay close to the board. It's good to have you with us.

2007 Calif Tour Continued

We've added another fantastic venue to the tour: McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica. McCabe's has a rich and impressive history. It's been featuring great acoustic acts since the mid 60s and still attracts great artists today. Check them out at http://www.mccabes.com/ The details are up on the Gig...

Hey Darra,
Indeed the Glendale Ice House was a strange and beautiful club. I preferred playing the Pasadena Ice House. But both venues drew fantastic people.
Sorry you won't be in the audience.
But there will be other chances.

And BTW, the "guest" post above is from me, Lind.

Guilty on all counts. I did indeed go to Western I was there three years. Amazing, actually, since I did indeed play music all the time. I eventually flunked out because they like you to study once in a while. I don't remember the incident Green Larry describes but I remember a song called "Jul...

Thanks Susanne. I'm so delighted over these great reviews. They keep coming in. In fact, I'm delighted that they're writing about it at all. I truly believe there's been more ink about this re-release than there was when the original vinyl came out. I do wish they'd get their info straight, though. ...

2007 California Tour

ANOTHER VISIT TO THE GOLDEN STATE This year is starting out with such exhilarating speed and power, someone should have warned me to fasten my seat belt on New Year's Eve. Good news is rushing at me like crazy. I never thought I'd be headed back to California so soon. As many of you know, I was jus...
