I hope that some of you were able to see this. I got up at 8 AM, only to find out that GMA had been on at 6 AM. Oh well .... I did manage to catch the Nightline show segment. I wonder if people were watching this and thinking 'Bob Lind? I wonder if that's the same guy who sang Elusive Butterfly. He ...

I agree with Rob. Bob should be the one to get the demos. Then maybe we can all hear "Salty Blue" and the 2 others songs that were never released.

Actually, the first thing that popped into my mind when I read this was: "...times are gone that brought the girl that watched me try to change the world ... when I beleived I'd write the songs to point the roads of right and wrong, Silently she watched me try to put the world on trial .....&qu...

This is the 5th verse that was posted here before "the crash" . I'm glad that I printed it out then & saved it The open eyes of evening watch the penny-ante festival of fools below the moon The clumsy joker tries in vain to catch the prize before a thousand laughing princes. The night ...

Here's what the Turtles' version says: All they ever smoke is tobacco in Suburbia All they ever smoke is tobacco in Suburbia (next 2 lines are the same) The "living clean & decent lives" verse is gone and is replaced by: Everyone is making friends With other people just like them Anyon...

I finally got a copy of the Turtles' version of this song. I can see that some of the lyrics are the same, but some are different. Unfortunately, there's no lyric sheet included in the cd but I will listen to it a few more times and do a comparison study :>) The liner notes for the cd say that this ...

CD Reissue of Elusive Butterfly/Don't Be Concerned

Sounds like great news that these cds are being reissued. I was lucky enough to get a copy the last time. I was just wondering if there has been any thought given to include Goodtime Special, Goodbye Neon Lies and We May Have Touched on this newest re-issue, since these are songs from the same time ...

Before I got my new cd, I was listening to a cd that I burned from the original vinyl recording. Beleive me, the new cd is an improvement over a copy of a well-played album!! I'm happy. (And there are the bonus tracks to enjoy as well.)

I FINALLY got my copy of "Since There Were Circles". The booklet was a treat, interesting to read Bob's commentary about the songs. Of the 5 bonus tracks my favorite is Colorado Line. (Well, so far anyway. I've only played the cd once as it just came in the mail an hour ago.) The alternate...

Cover versions of songs are always interesting. I'm curious to hear different singers' interpretations of songs that someone else (usually the songwriter) has recorded previously. I haven't had a chance to hear Richie Havens "How the Nights Can Fly" but I'd like to. As far as Josh Groban i...

Ditto. Happy Birthday Bob. Hope you are having a great Thanksgiving/Birthday weekend.

(Bob even made my local paper today ..... in the celebrity birthday column along with Ricardo Montalban, Percy Sledge, John Larroquette, Amy Grant and Christina Applegate, among others.) :D
