Great article, Grant--thanks! Lind enthusiasts can't get enough of this kind of info. Bob gave some interesting "advice" to his fans at the end of the article when he said he feels alive when he's sad. So let's not praise his music too much--he can't continue his great output if he's dead!...

Thank you Jill! The trip was obviously a fantastic sucess. Can hardly wait to hear more about it and see more pictures. Glad you made it back in one piece also. Rest up and recover from your jet lag. Welcome home.

I've often wondered the same thing, Kie--where do the ideas come from, the gorgeous imagery, the ability to put into language (with an economy of words) feelings and concepts which would be impossible for most people to express in a book-length essay, if at all. The answer: that's what poets do.

OK, thanks Jill. We'll be looking forward to seeing Bob in this part of Florida later in the year. Meanwhile, we might just take a trip or 2 to the southern end of our beautiful state and catch Bob down there.

FL Folk Festival

Bob, I have a queasy feeling u are not going to be at the Festival this year--it isn't mentioned at all on your tour dates :( . As they say in France, s**t! (Or is it in Italy they say that?) After going to see u the past 2 years, the journey has become a tradition in our family. I wanted to have mo...

Delshannon-U are a kindred spirit. "Elusive Butterfly" is my favorite song (in a class by itself), and "If you Could Read my Mind" is in my top five. There are entire compartments in my brain/heart devoted to both of them. Welcome to the board!

I just viewed Bob singing Spilling Over on the link Darra provided. It is a beautiful rendition of one of my favorite Lind songs. I've heard him sing it three times in person, and this is the best version by far. Piercing. And how does he come up with lyrics like those? It's the kind of song I wish ...
