Watching that 1966 video clip brought back many memories! Damn, I'm gonna have to ditch the dial-up connection though - it took forever to view it!!

Bob's DVD Taping

I had the pleasure of attending the studio portion of Bob's DVD taping yesterday evening. What a special treat that was. In addition to seeing & hearing Bob perform some of our acoustic favorites (How the Nights Can Fly, Elusive Butterfly, Nameless Request etc.) we also got to see & hear Bob...

(hopefully this will not show up under 'Guest" this time.) Wow - what can I say! I haven't seen Bob perform live in 20 years and the show last night was just like a trip back in time - with the addition of some great new music. Excellent venue for hearing acoustic music, too. Set list: I Love t...

Rob - thanks for the link to the interview and info on the bonus tracks for "Circles". The last 3 are songs that I haven't heard before! I checked on the Collector's Choice website & they have both this cd and the "Ultimate collection" for sale. No cover photo or track listin...

Yes Rick, I had the same experience when I called for tix. I got the phone # from their website & was also told to call back in a week or two.

I am really looking forward to this - it's been 20 years or so since I last saw Bob perform here in So Cal.

Hey - I was 15-16 years old when those shows were on the air. Although, I thankfully wasn't pimply, I WAS a hormone volcano who was watching the shows at home, probably singing along, and thinking that you were some kind of deep, sensitive "older guy". Another 40 year old illusion shattere...

I've been trying to find videos of Bob's old performances also. The Hullabaloo performance is in the Vol. 9-12 set of videos that were released, but have not tracked down which volume yet. There is also American Bandstand episode #1710 which aired 2/19/1966. Re Shindig: I think that show went off th...

Trying to Find original Recording

I just checked out Collectors' Choice music website, searching by "Elusive Butterfly" song title. I found it on 6 different 60's or folk music compilation cds. I am guessing that these are all the original Bob Lind version. There are also quite a variety of artists covering the song - all ...

Log-in Problems

I was having the same problems until I clicked on the "log me in automatically each time" box. When the board was re-done after the hackers came to visit, my automatic log-in was gone & for a while I couldn't figure out why I was having the same problem that Jeff is having. Then I just...

The Verve Album

Seeker to Be - what a small world! That same Wallich's Music City is where I bought the "Photographs of Feeling" album. I can still remember NOT wanting to listen to it in the store because I wanted to hurry home and savor listening to it in the privacy of my own room.

All I can say is I sure wish I still had my "trusty Morris Minor" that got 40 plus mpg & that I could drive around for $1-2 dollars worth of gas per week. (of course it wouldn't go over 60, although the speedo optimistically went to 80!)

Liz - thanks for the lyrics to WE MAY HAVE TOUCHED. This is the first time that I have ever seen them. Now, if I could just hear the song (and also Goodbye Neon Lies) I'd be a happy woman. I've been looking for recordings of those two songs since ...... 1960-something.

My sentiments exactly! I too had the pleasure of seeing Bob perform live many times when he lived in LA, and the Luna Star cd brought back a flood of great memories for me as well.
