Like most other folks I mostly knew Joni from Big Yellow Taxi, but a friend played me Hissing of Summer Lawns in '77 and I was just blown away. Only in the last few years did I (re) discover Circle Game, which, coincidently, was from '66 (!). Hissing of Summer Lawns is brilliant, as are Court and S...

I saw the Band's movie 'Last Walz' for about the 30th time the other day. Lots of key players in that one, including the (other) love of my life Joni Mitchell. See ya, Dave. Oh yes, Joni Mitchell is a musical goddess. There was a time when I nominated her as the only artist who had not recorded any...

Well, for one thing, check the tour dates ! He's headed for Texas for the big, big SXSW festival , among other things. It's a midnight show . This is a good thing, by SXSW standards. I just browsed the listing of artists at that festival, that's quite a lineup. I see there are several acts from Aus...

The best decade

On another music forum that I visited, someone posted a poll asking people what was the best decade in music - the 60's, the 70's, etc. One person gave the very perceptive response that in fact the best decade was the "Sixventies". He went on to explain that by that term he meant the perio...

It's Just My Love - was this a single?

This is my favourite of Lind's lesser-known songs. I think this must have been a single at one time, at least in Australia, because I heard it several times on radio - in fact it's the only Lind song apart from you-know-what that I have ever heard on radio. When I first heard it I thought it was eve...

You've been sacked.

Wow, there's hidden talent out there! Look out Betty Boo! Roll over Milli Vanilli!

A truly corny performance, but one must forgive him - anything that brings Bob's songs to a wider audience is to be condoned.

The re-released Circles album

Since I already had a recording of the Circles album from another source (won't say any more here, don't want to get Bob into trouble), I spent some time deciding whether to shell out extra bread for the re-relase with the 5 extra tracks. I finally did so, and am glad I did.- not just for those 5 so...

Far out and solid! Prefer your guitar arrangements. They really magnify your vocal quality. The Lindications are that you are still the top of the heap, the cream of the crop... as we used to say in the sixties! NW Florida Summer's Child No doubt these accolades regarding the demos are making Bob f...

drunsticks and bugs

The above posting was by me.

I thought I had logged in, but apparently not. This board still has bugs, I find I always need to login at least twice and sometimes more, before it recognises that I am bob_32_116 and not just a guest.

Putting 2 and 2 together...

OK... so this can only mean that the demos have to be taken down because pretty soon the final polished versions will be available commercially on a new studio album. Would that be right? :)
One can hope.

Mr webmonkey, I fear the time may have come when you close off posting on the board to anyone not registered as a guest. Withess the latest 4 postings in the Rambling Conversation thread, which all appear to be from Russia and are either advertising something or just talking nonsense. I have a photo...
