Hey, Roy, if you make it to the NY gig, introduce yourself. I live in Fort Worth. Go figure, eh? Lou go to Denton to the Silver Leaf on Dec 13 and see Jimmy. He is one of my 3 faves and a friend of Bob's. The 1st words written in his-Jimmy's- book about songwriting-"Tunesmith"- are words ...

Dylan- "My Back Pages" is a song that not only paints a picture but makes you remember/wonder.
Bob's song do just that and paint a vision in the mind and soul very few "Tunes" do.
Bob and Jimmy are my fave writers ever.

Thanks Liz. Yes. I was aware of these cuts, but some others here may not be. I appreciate your posting the links. Elsewhere on the board, and in interviews, I talk about how much I like both of these cuts. The Otway thing is so wild and so full of energy -- so completely different from anything I h...

Covers??

I am almost positive this has been cover. If so forgive me.
What to y'all think is the BEST and the WORST cover of a Bob lind song??
I personally think "Cheryl's Goin' Home " by "The Blues Project" is the best.

BOB LIND: New York at Last! Bob Lind's first-ever New York concert was a success. Not only was an en...

Bob I would like to know did you like the preformance or the song writing or both. Good luck tonight friend. Roy Was this addressed to me, or to Mr Lind? Please clarify! If it was to me, I liked the song AND the performance, but I have no idea what you are referring to in wishing me "goo...

[ I like a lot of musical styles but my favourites are the folk-rock style of the late 60's and the melodic progressive rock of the late 60s/early 70s typified by Genesis, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues etc. You certainly don't hear any of that sort of music at the clubs. :([/quote] I just read this. I hav...

I just read this set of postings and I have to agree with Bob that movie people are a lot of hot air.
I have been published in everything from Time to Penthouse yet there is no way on earth I could write like Bob.
I think your screenplays and stories-like your lyrics-were to cerebral.

Bob and Jimmy Webb

I am taking a college course at SMU on music. I can not read it or write it but I do hear it very well. I also have been around it for decades. We are studing a book named "TUNESMITH" by Jimmy Webb on the art of songwriting. It is a hard and complicated but super read. The very and I mean ...
