Re: Verve Album??

I agree Suzanne, Judy Collins version is excellent. This should lead you to Donovan's rendition -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQUT6mS0eY8 This just and audio, there was a video clip of Donovan performing the song but I can not locate it now. I feel Donovan's Celtic accent adds an extra feeling t...

Re: Verve Album??

I know we are not supposed to mention that album but I reckon Bob's version of W.B Yeats' "Song of the Wandering Aengus" is great and perhaps second only to the version by Donovan.

Re: LIND COVERS

Been away for a while and just found the you tube covers on Playlist page. Many good covers there but I particularly liked Susan Jacks rendering of "EB" and Nancy Sinatra's "Longtime Woman"

Re: On Australian Radio

Just finished listening to 2 hours with Bob on Southern 88.3 FM Melbourne, here in Australia.
Great interview to go with great music. Loved to hear Bob’s story again as well as some new facts about Bob.
To think that it was on an Australian radio station is something we Aussie fans can be proud of.

Re: Lines that changed lives.

Line that started my downward spiral in the mid 60's was what is now Danny H's signature - " Some may call it wander-lust, some may call it crazy. I don't call it anything - I Just Let It Take Me." Maybe I shouldn't have taken Lind so seriously..when I was so young and impressionable. Hey ...

Re: Elusive Butterfly

I though it's time to crank up this Topic again. I just needed a "fix" of Bob on You Tube and watched, again, the various versions there of Bob doing ELUSIVE BUTTERFLY. What hit me though, was the heavy number of text comments about Bob and EB that have been posted on You Tube ...over 200 ...

East Of The Holyland – Bob Lind …. “You’re talking about this place (LA) like it’s the Holy Land or something. ” Folksinger Durham’s angry reaction when his best friend challenges him to try his talents against the heavy competition in LA. But Durham lacks real confidence in his own musical ability...
