Re: The 2009 European Tour

Hi Danny, "What's a typical Lind Show..." I've seen a couple and there not to be missed! Have a look through the forum, my memory's like a sieve but John Duncan did write a very good review of Bob's Brighton show and there are older reviews to be found. Fingers crossed the sound quality of...

Re: The 2009 European Tour

I saw one of the gigs, I've read some reviews, seen the photos and the video, even met Bob a few times but now he's home...Come on Bob, how was the tour for you? The frozen north, the London fogs, the straw chomping yokels of Dorset, the matadors of Bilbao and the shapes and sizes on the nudist beac...

Bob Lind at The Luminaire (again)

Caught Bob's gig at The Luminaire last night and from the off it was a very cool night. If Bob did have any worries over how his return would be greeted these were immediately dispelled by the very warm welcome he received. A very good attendance not as many as for his first visit but then this was ...

Bob Lind, back across the pond and Shindig!

Naturally all England is awash with excitement waiting for Bob Lind's return to these shores and good to see that UK retro pop mag, Shindig! is on the case. It features a two page interview with Bob, "20 Questions", by the ever so knowledgeable and all round good guy Kingsley Abbott. Seems...

Record Collector review

Better late than never and talking of cute pics of Bob...the latest issue of Record Collector (September 2007) features a very enthusive review by Kingsley Abbott of "Bob Lind – Elusive Butterfly: The Complete Jack Nitzsche Sessions" also a short but interesting interview (and a cute photo...

Hi Kie (I think that's a kind of Scottish reel),
Much appreciated your kind offer to post copies of your very enjoyable interview with Bob. What a very pleasant bunch of fans Bob seems to have amassed.

Bob and Jill Guerra have been working like crazy on this trip with the gigs, interviews and discussions with ACE Records etc, etc. They have managed a little time for fun, guests of Jarvis Cocker at the Meltdown festival and post gig party for instance. Personally I was thrilled that Bob and Jill we...

I think Bob views this as not being up to scratch but I've got to agree with Ed and Rob about the track, I love it. As a demo it is superb I just can't help imagining the sort of arrangement Jack Nitzsche would have built for it...

I recently gave my UK Fontana copy of Photographs Of Feelings to a pal and can't remember if the CD release matches this or not but if you check the sleeve, not the vinyl of the US album you get the ACE CD running order! Even more important than this and the mis-spelling of Elinor - World Pacific go...

Bob Lind conquers London - The Luminaire gig

A packed house and appreciative audience gave Bob a rousing welcome and rowdy applause for his first UK gig in over 40years. Relaxed and in great voice, many of the songs taken at a more leisurely pace but still in the same key, Bob was obviously delighted at the reception he received. Afraid I'll h...

It's wonderful to have him here - Bob Lind touches down

Although reports that Bob Lind was met at London's Heathrow Airport by hordes of screaming fans in scenes reminiscence of Beatlemania at its height remain unconfirmed Bob has safely arrived in the UK. Most of his day has been spent being interviewed by the great and not so good from the media before...

Thanks Suzanne and particularly Ed for posting details of the taping, what a very special time you both had. Sorry to hear Bob had a sore throat. Doesn't seem the perfect time to be recording but pleased to hear it didn't seem to impact on his performance.

Patti Page

Dare say you young'uns might not have heard of her but while I've been spoon feeding her gruel, my dear old wife has been playing "This House". One of the best "Elusive Butterfly" rip offs I've heard,
